Right on your doorstep, Staffordshire. You are invited!
7th May 2024

Swinging into action with publicity for the show. Local and regional press. Staffordshire is sandwiched between Birmingham to the South and the Peak District to the North and its history is largely agricultural, remaining so to this day with many farming communities and villages as part of that heritage. So it seems like the most sensible thing to do is to get out to all of those communities and make connections with all wool lovers everywhere.

We'll be doing a separate article on Bishton Ponies (bottom right in the featured pic), the Community Interest Company which the show will be supporting this year and which lends a hand and a hoof to excluded and cared for children and teens in the area. For now, as we're talking about connections, there exists no better than between a horse and a human and Bishton's stable of 28 legs do their job magnificently. You'll see them in action at the show.

The chance to get to settle up with your stash, wherever that may be hidden, holed up or piled up. One woman or man's trash is another's treasure they say. And so say all of us! It's time to clear out and pass it on. And we're giving you the perfect opportunity to do just that. Whether we've got piles of Knitting, Crochet, Felt, Dyeing or just Craft, Craft and more Craft magazines, we're all faced with the dilemma of where to put them when we've finished breathlessly leafing through the new copy each month or getting out the needles and hooks or plunging our hands into the latest colours to concoct the patterns inside its pages. Same with our yarn. But if its only destiny is a bag at the back of the wardrobe, then we either do something with it or set it free and pass it on. REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE is the perfect opportunity to do just that.
