Wool@J13 2023 brings you a whole variety of workshops with some really interesting and experienced tutors in their field.

Award winning Emma Jackson knows all there is to know about wet felting and its sustainable properties. How useful is that Pod going to be, never mind about the superbly crafted Felted Flower Brooch. Yours to keep & take away, along with the knowledge to make another and another and another…Silversoles | Hand Felted Textiles | Artisan Bespoke Lampshades & Lights | UK

And if you’re a rug making enthusiast, get to grips with a Needle Punch with Professional Gun Tufter, Amber Brigham, coming down from Yorkshire to be at the show with her colourful statement rugs. ‘Tis faster than hooking, that’s for sure, inexpensive to set up and with exciting results. Hot on sustainability, too, is Caroline Bawn from Gorgeous Yarns, a natural dye resource for yarns, kits and more!, the lady who knows all about using the sun as a natural resource to dye yarn. Along with knowing so much about the plants in her garden which she uses for dyeing, she’s a superb resource to take advantage of in her workshop.

So, from finding out how to crochet a hexi-granny cardigan with Ruth Moore from Home | Ammonite Yarns to needle felting with Annie Brown Needle Felting Artist | Needle Felted Art, Gifts & Workshops and learning how to blend rolags & batts on a blending board or drum carder, courtesy of Deby Robertson, you’re in for a treat. Add all of the above to Visible Mending teaching by Suzi Ashworth (don’t throw it, mend it, redesign it with a visible patch) and weaving a circular landscape by Ruth Sprague illuminating weaves who brings a Japanese experience in weaving to her workshop, and you have so many opportunities to add a whole suitcase full of woolly learning to your repertoire.

A sheer delight. Book here before it’s too late. Bookings close two weeks prior to the show. Workshops & Talks Wool@J13 2023 | Wool @ Junction 13 (
