Applications are now being invited for exhibitor stands at a new wool show for the Midlands, which will take place on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th May 2017.
Set on a 600 acre farm in Penkridge, Staffordshire – just 1 mile from J13 of the M6 – Wool@J13 is the brainchild of Staffordshire-based wool artist Ingrid Wagner. Having noticed a gap in the market for a large wool event serving the Midlands, Ingrid teamed up with Val James, who runs a successful farm attraction, to create the new event.
It will feature a host of attractions including wool craft workshops, individual and team competitions, fleece sales, live music, street food and more, and, of course, a shop ’til you drop zone of exhibitors who work in wool. The show will also benefit from a team of marketing and events professionals working behind the scenes to spread the word. Ingrid says:
‘This vibrant new event is perfect for anyone with an interest in wool ‘“ whether they spin, knit, crochet, weave, felt or use it in mixed media. We’ve got a programme packed with competitions and workshops alongside live music and some fantastic food stalls to make it a great day out for visitors – and a fantastic platform to showcase and sell wares as an exhibitor.’
Applications are invited ahead of the deadline of the end of January 2017 – to download an exhibitor pack or for more details visit www.wool-j13.co.uk. Alternatively, get in touch with the festival team by emailing [email protected] or calling 01785 330757 or 07717 036213.
