New wool show for the Midlands!
16th June 2016

Wool@J13 is the brainchild of Staffordshire-based wool artist extraordinaire Ingrid Wagner and Val James who, along with partner Ray Bower, runs a 600 acre arable and beef farm just a few minutes’ drive from J13 of the M6.

The pair met during an event at the farm’s established family fun farm attraction in Spring 2016, got talking about the potential of the venue and the huge interest in wool craft, and the rest is history.

Wool@J13 is a vibrant new event for anyone with an interest in wool ‘“ whether you spin, knit, crochet, weave, felt or use it in mixed media this is a fantastic platform to showcase and sell your wares as an exhibitor, and a fun-packed way to spend a weekend as a visitor. Ingrid says:

‘The far flung corners of the country are served by some great wool shows, which I have enjoyed numerous times as both exhibitor and visitor. However, for some reason, the Midlands doesn’t have a show of its own. Lower Drayton Farm’s location on the motorway network presents a brilliant opportunity for wool lovers from far and wide to converge on a show that is literally slap bang in the middle of the country ‘“ and with Val and my creative juices combined, we’re planning a fun-packed event that will encompass great food, drink and live music alongside shopping, demonstrations, competitions and wool craft workshops.’

The inaugural Wool@J13 festival will take place on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th May 2017. Browse our website for more details or get in touch with the festival team by emailing [email protected] or calling 01785 330757.
