The organisers behind Wool @ J13 ‘“ set to take place at Lower Drayton Farm near Penkridge on Sat 13 & Sun 14 May 2017 ‘“ are on the hunt for volunteers to help ensure the inaugural event runs like clockwork.
In return for their time ‘“ whether they can offer half a day or the entire weekend ‘“ they will be provided with meals and refreshments throughout and enjoy being a part of the vibrant team behind this exciting new event. There are around 30 roles to be filled; ranging from assisting exhibitors at set up and break down to looking after stallholders and entertainers over the course of the weekend to helping get all-important feedback from visitors on the gate.
If you’re interested in getting involved as a volunteer, email [email protected] or call 01785 330757 or 07717 036213.
Local wool artist Ingrid Wagner, who is heading up the show team, says:
‘As a regular exhibitor at wool and yarn events up and down the county, I understand that it takes a small army to run festivals and that the volunteers are the bedrock of any event. We need willing, friendly faces to help provide efficient and effective service for our exhibitors, workshop tutors and speakers; in turn ensuring that our visitors have a great experience.
‘In return we promise to feed and water you well and provide lots of fun alongside the hard work. Once volunteers have finished their allocated task they are free to enjoy the rest of the event ‘“ gratis, of course!’
Wool @ J13 will take place on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th May 2017 at Lower Drayton Farm near Penkridge, Staffordshire- handily placed just 1 mile from J13 of the M6.
